How to Tie
This piece is about a progression through language, life and light, and transitions.

Idioms
I had my roommate, Kara, explain some common American idioms to me, first without using the phrase then she was allowed to go back and re-explain using pieces of the phrase in her explanation.

Make Up Must Be Artist
An ode to Marina Abromovich
Start in a rigid environment, like an institution of art (filmed in Crisp Ellert Art Museum), where art and it's creators are meant to be put on display. Transition to two women preparing themselves to be viewed in any conceivable situation. Transfer them to a fish tank to be viewed.
Though they are in the wrong environment, their purpose is still the same; to be on display for viewing.

Wilhelm Scream
This is a piece that was made in my video class. the assignment was to create a video that was at least 60sec. and include the infamous Wilhelm Scream in some form.
I decided to do an ode to my least favorite animal in the world -- Birds.

Closet Tour
The video documents our experiences with several participants, both those willing, and those unwilling, to reveal one of the most intimate yet public spaces in their lives.
A collaboration group, made up of Kate Keuvelaar, Lacey Caskin, and myself, got together and conducted several interviews of people in their closets. We came up with the idea of taking "tours" of people's closets because we were intrigued by the idea of something being so private and, frankly too taboo to show, even though it essentially houses one of the most public aspects of each of our lives. We came to find that many people keep other things that are far more personal than a few shirts and dresses in their closets as well.
We would like to thank all those who participated in the work.
